Dayseeker brought their The Dark Sun Protocol Tour to The Eastern in Atlanta on Wednesday, accompanied by special guests Alpha Wolf, Catch Your Breath, and Kingdom of Giants. The evening was a showcase of diverse and electrifying performances that left the audience thoroughly entertained.
The show kicked off with Kingdom of Giants, a metalcore band hailing from California. Originally formed in 2010 under the name Hello Sailor, they adopted their current moniker in 2011. The band recently released their new EP, Bleeding Star, and their performance at The Eastern was nothing short of energetic. From the moment they took the stage, Kingdom of Giants managed to elevate the energy in the venue, effectively hyping up the crowd with their powerful sound and dynamic stage presence.

According to their website, the band “injects a unique mix of synth soundscaping elements, imaginative production, and refined songwriting,” a combination that proved to be highly effective. The audience was captivated by their performance, enjoying every minute as the band maintained the high-energy atmosphere. Catch Your Breath has a full-length album titled Shame on Me, which has been well-received by fans and critics alike.

Despite undergoing a lineup change a few years ago, Alpha Wolf has continued to thrive, releasing multiple EPs and studio albums. Their latest album, Half Living Things, showcases their evolution as a band. In January, they released the single “Sucks 2 Suck,” featuring Ice-T, which has been a hit among fans. During their set, crowd surfers could be seen sailing through the venue, a testament to the band’s commanding stage presence and the audience’s enthusiasm.

The headliner of the night, Dayseeker, is a post-hardcore band from Orange County, California. With five studio albums under their belt, including Dark Sun (released in 2022) and Replica (an album featuring acoustic versions of songs from two of their albums as well as a cover of Evanescence’s “My Immortal”), Dayseeker has built a strong following. Their performance at The Eastern was a highlight of the evening, with the crowd singing along to every song. The venue was illuminated by cell phone flashlights, creating a magical atmosphere that complemented the band’s melodic sounds. The visual effects on stage added to the overall experience, providing a stunning backdrop for Dayseeker’s performance.
