DOMINIC FIKE ANNOUNCES NEW MUSICAL CHAPTER WITH Rocket MIXTAPE OUT AUGUST 22ND VIA COLUMBIA RECORDS
Dominic Fike is opening a new musical chapter with the announcement of his upcoming Rocket Mixtape. Over the 12 tracks, we see Fike deeply personal as ever, reflecting on recent life events while showing personal growth and maturity. Fike continues to find beauty in harrowing-but-tender emotional bloodletting. His own fusion of hip-hop and sun-damaged rock has captivated audiences around the world for his honesty and matter-of-fact lyrics. Rocket continues to build on the world created on his previous two albums, What Could Possibly Go Wrong and Sunburn, and is another reason why he continues to be one of the most captivating artists of the last decade.
Out today are the first three songs on Rocket, “All Hands On Deck”, “Aftermath” and “Smile.” Again fusing his signature sonic palette, these songs are warm and confessional, with lyrics that capture where Fike is right now. Earlier this week, Dominic shared a video for “All Hands On Deck,” which features footage from his Lollapalooza set.
His Lollapalooza set and a stop at Osheaga, come off the heels of recent musical releases with friend and collaborator, Kevin Abstract, under the name Geezer.
