DON TOLIVER’S HARDSTONE PSYCHO AVAILABLE NOW VIA CACTUS JACK/ATLANTIC RECORDS
Don Toliver has unveiled his eagerly awaited new album, HARDSTONE PSYCHO, which is now accessible via Cactus Jack/Atlantic Records. Alongside the album release, an official video for “Brother Stone (Ft. Kodak Black)” has also been launched. The album has swiftly climbed to #1 on the US Apple Music chart and has been a hot topic since its release, with fans dubbing it “Album of the Year.” Official Don Toliver merchandise is available as well.
HARDSTONE PSYCHO boasts high-profile collaborations from Travis Scott, Future & Metro Boomin, and Kodak Black. It also includes recently released singles such as “Attitude (Ft. Charlie Wilson & Cash Cobain),” “Deep In The Water”, and “Bandit”, all of which are accompanied by cinematic music videos that have collectively garnered more than 15M views on the official Don Toliver YouTube channel. “Bandit,” which samples Tame Impala’s “One More Hour”, recently made headlines as Toliver’s first top 10 hit as a lead artist on Billboard’s “Hot Rap Songs” chart. It also debuted in the top 40 on Billboard’s “Hot 100,” earning critical acclaim from The FADER, Stereogum, REVOLT, and more. Toliver and his team also recently performed “Bandit” on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Toliver, who recently delivered a stellar performance at the Gov Ball in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, New York City, will commemorate the launch of HARDSTONE PSYCHO with a co-headline performance alongside Travis Scott at Bridgeview, IL’s Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash tonight (Friday, June 14). This summer, Toliver will be performing at various festivals across Europe and the UK, with notable appearances at Vienna, Austria’s Rolling Loud Europe (July 7) and a co-headline performance at London’s Wireless Festival in Finsbury Park (July 14). As a passionate gamer, Toliver has also launched Hardstone, a revolutionary new video game in Fortnite, to further promote HARDSTONE PSYCHO. This unique music and gaming experience allows players to interact with songs from the album while exploring the universe that inspired it. In Hardstone, players form teams of 8 and compete to capture key map locations inspired by the album, engaging in a fierce turf war between two rival biker gangs (Hardstone and Wolves M.C.) in Psycho Valley. Hardstone is free to play and can be accessed by logging onto Fortnite and searching for Hardstone from the main menu. An official Hardstone trailer is also available for streaming.
HARDSTONE PSYCHO is the highly anticipated successor to Toliver’s acclaimed third studio album, 2023’s Love Sick, which is now available in an Expanded Deluxe Edition. The album features the standout favorite “Private Landing (Feat. Justin Bieber & Future)” and hit singles such as “Leave The Club (Feat. Lil Durk & GloRilla),” “4 Me (Feat. Kali Uchis),” and “Slow Motion (Feat. WizKid).”
Love Sick was released alongside a self-written short film of the same name, which earned three prestigious Telly Awards for excellence in video and television across all screens. The video won top honors in three “Branded Content” categories, including two Gold Telly Awards for Craft (Directing and Videography/Cinematography) and a Bronze Telly Award for General (Music). The video also won the “Best Music Video Film” award at Hollywood’s 5th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival, which showcases the best and brightest short films from around the world. Presented by Rotation (the hip-hop and R&B brand from Amazon Music), directed by award-winning French filmmaker Alexandre Moors (Kendrick Lamar, Juice WRLD, Miley Cyrus), and produced by Good Company (Lemonade, Pharrell Williams, Adele), Love Sick is exclusively streaming on Prime Video.
Don Toliver, a 3x RIAA Platinum-certified soul singer, songwriter, and artist, has gained global recognition for his unique sound that blends hip-hop, smoked-out R&B, ambitious pop, and even a touch of rock ‘n’ roll, carving out a genre-bending lane of his own. Following the success of his 2018 mixtape, Donny Womack, the Houston, TX native released his Heaven Or Hell, which quickly entered the top 10 on the Billboard 200 and earned RIAA Platinum certification.
Named among Rolling Stone’s “10 Biggest Breakthrough Artists of 2020,” Toliver collaborated with Internet Money, NAV, and Gunna for the 4x Platinum, top 10 hit “Lemonade,” a global sensation that they later performed on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Toliver has proven to be a sought-after collaborator, working with Lil Durk and Latto for 2021’s “Fast Lane,” the lead track on Atlantic Records’ F9: The Fast Saga (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), as well as that same year’s “Don’t Go” with Skrillex and Justin Bieber. A series of hit collaborations followed, featuring Kanye West and Kid Cudi, Metro Boomin and Future, SZA, Justin Bieber, Pusha T and Lil Uzi Vert, DJ Khaled, 21 Savage and 2 Chainz, and more.
2021 was capped off by the blockbuster release of Life of a DON, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 – Toliver’s highest chart debut to date. Highlighted by the RIAA Gold-certified “What You Need,” the critically acclaimed collection boasted a wide array of high-profile partnerships, with production from Mike Dean, Mustard, Metro Boomin, Hit-Boy, Cardo, and Sonny Digital and guest appearances from Travis Scott, Kali Uchis, Baby Keem, and others.
Don continued his explosive run with Love Sick, once again debuting among the top 10 on the Billboard 200 as well as the top 5 on the “Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums” chart. Now, with the multi-faceted arrival of HARDSTONE PSYCHO, Don Toliver embarks on his most thrilling musical journey yet.
