EKKSTACY shares title track of forthcoming new album out May 16

Vancouver’s burgeoning star EKKSTACY shares the title track of his forthcoming third studio album today with “Forever”. The album, out May 16th via UnitedMasters (Dine Alone / Canada), imbues his sound with a renewed sense of clarity. He ratchets up the brash pop-punk he’s mastered on the album’s title track, but also clears out room for unflinching intimacy, choosing to mirror the vulnerability he writes with in his lyrics into the sound itself with soft, acoustic moments of stillness. Forever embodies a new level of poise for the ascendant 23 year-old, who has quickly risen to become one of the brightest new stars in alternative music and is nominated for a 2025 JUNO Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
Coinciding with the single’s release, EKKSTACY is also announcing his Forever Tour, stretching across North America in July. Preceded by a set at San Diego’s Wonderfront Festival, EKKSTACY will play 20 shows across Canada and the US in July, concluding on the West Coast before he plays a series of summer festivals including Osheaga Fest (Montreal), Sziget Fest (Budapest), Summer Well Fest (Bucharest) and Color Fest (Calabria). Tickets for EKKSTACY’s Forever Tour are available HERE.
While retaining the signature off-the-wall energy of his discography, Forever channels that relentless angst back into music itself, delving further into emo influences like Japan droids and Remo Drive. He’s telling similar stories of youthful struggles as he’s done on past albums, this time with a refined perspective focused on overarching themes of the experiences and lessons that lead to newfound maturity. With Forever, Stacy is ascending and refreshed, with a strong command of his sound and utilizing all of his artistic strengths to their fullest potential, demonstrating a wider range with singles like “keep my head down” and “she will be missed.”
EKKSTACY’s busy 2024 saw him breaking new ground with his self-titled second album and standout lead single “bella”, which 032c called “infectious and jubilant”. The year found him surpassing 300 million streams on breakout track “i walk this earth all by myself,” gracing the cover of GQ Hype, landing on Spotify Top 10 Debuts chart on both sides of the Atlantic, and touring around the globe on his own and alongside Blink-182, and the $uicideboy$ respectively.
