Electrifying Remi Wolf Unleashes New Single & Video ‘Motorcycle

REMI WOLF’S HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SOPHOMORE ALBUM BIG IDEAS OUT JULY 12TH ON

ISLAND RECORDS

Remi Wolf is progressively unveiling her most artistically daring and polished projects to date with her latest single, “Motorcycle”, from her eagerly awaited second album, “Big Ideas”, set to release on July 12th via Island Records.

“Motorcycle” is a deeply emotional and exposed ballad that showcases Remi’s raw vocal talent. The song, crafted in collaboration with Kenny Beats, Leon Michels, and the Dap-Kings, was recorded in a single take with minimal edits for both vocals and instrumentation. The pared-down production provides the ideal backdrop for Remi’s soulful and introspective lyrics, allowing them to take center stage as she navigates a jazzy guitar melody. The accompanying music video for “Motorcycle,” directed by Sweetiepie, portrays Remi’s humor and introspection as she attempts to play the role of a traditional housewife in vintage clothing. The video deepens the song’s themes of romantic longing and the quest for a deep connection, showing Remi trying to keep her home clean to impress a cardboard cutout husband, but instead finds herself vacuuming the lawn and flooding the kitchen counter with coffee.

Remi explains that the lyrics of the song explore an internal conflict she often experiences. One part of her yearns to slow down, settle, fall in love, and lead a normal life, while another, more dominant part of her craves restless independence and freedom. The song is essentially a fantasy about a reality where both aspects of her can coexist.

“Big Ideas” catapults Remi to new levels, showcasing her refined self-awareness and musical prowess, presenting her grand concepts as a masterpiece of electrifying, hair-raising, soul-exposing, breath-taking, life-changing anthems. Following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album “Juno” in 2021, Remi’s rise to fame has been unstoppable. She has performed globally, at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, SXSW, Newport Folk Festival, and Bonnaroo, sold out tours across North America and Europe at venues like Terminal 5 in NYC and The Shrine in LA, and opened for artists like Lorde, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Paramore. This spring, she joins Olivia Rodrigo on the European leg of The GUTS World Tour, performing at venues like The O2 in London and Accor Arena in Paris. The release of the new single follows Remi’s recent announcement of additional European shows for her Big Ideas tour, which begins on September 10th. See below for the complete list of dates.
