ESPN Presents Six International Club Soccer Preseason Matches This Summer Beginning July 25

ESPN has acquired exclusive U.S. English- and Spanish-language media rights to six international club soccer preseason matches as part of an agreement with TEG Sport. Featuring Liverpool FC, Wrexham AFC, Leeds United and Sunderland AFC, the matches will be presented from Saturday, July 25, through Sunday, Aug. 2, across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Unlimited.

The six-match slate will be played across six major U.S. markets as the clubs prepare for the 2026-27 season. Following a landmark summer for global soccer, the matches will bring together four of the most recognizable clubs in the English football system for eight days of competition at major sports venues across the United States.

Liverpool FC, a six-time European champion and 20-time English league champion, will headline three matches, beginning against Sunderland AFC at GEODIS Park in Nashville on Saturday, July 25. Liverpool will then face Wrexham AFC at Yankee Stadium in New York City on Wednesday, July 29, before concluding its U.S. preseason schedule against Leeds United at Soldier Field in Chicago on Sunday, Aug. 2.

Wrexham AFC returns to the United States following its rapid rise through the English football pyramid and a 2025-26 campaign in which the club finished just outside the EFL Championship playoff places. The Welsh club will face Leeds United at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Liverpool at Yankee Stadium and Sunderland at Subaru Park in the Philadelphia area. The schedule also includes Sunderland against Leeds at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, N.J., on Thursday, July 30.

ESPN Coverage Highlights

English-language match commentary will feature play-by-play commentators Adrian Healey and Mark Donaldson, joined by analysts Alejandro Moreno, Janusz Michallik and Rodrigo Fáez. ESPN Deportes’ Spanish-language coverage will be led by play-by-play commentators Ricardo Ortiz, Fernando Palomo and Richard Méndez, alongside analysts Mario Kempes, Eduardo Biscayart and Barak Fever.

ESPN’s signature soccer programs will support the live match coverage with previews, analysis and reaction throughout the eight-day slate. Additional highlights and coverage will be featured across SportsCenter, ESPN.com and ESPN and ESPN Deportes’ digital and social platforms.
