FEARDORIAN AND OSQUINN RELEASE NEW COLLABORATIVE ALBUM BEFORE YOU PRESS PLAY OUT NOW VIA 3500

FearDorian, New Music, Music, Entertainment News, osquinn, 3500,

After months of teasing, a string of singles, and a pushed back release that only fueled anticipation surrounding the new album, Atlanta’s FearDorian (He/Him) and Baltimore’s osquinn (She/Her) have released their joint album Before You Press Play via 3500, alongside the focus track “act like u know”.

The album arrives after a cinematic rollout, between the cathartic chaos of “tmb” and glitched-out intimacy of “duh” to the viral spark of “distance”, “L Train Vintage”, and “Bags”. Together, the duo have built a world between melody and distortion, vulnerability and volatility, making Before You Press Play one of the underground’s most anticipated releases of the year.

With “act like u know” FearDorian and osquinn distill that world and shared vision into an emotionally charged anthem rooted in self-preservation and perception, blurring the line between digital surrealism and raw emotion.

Now that it’s here, Before You Press Play captures everything that’s defined their evolution: the thrill of creation, the ache of growing up online, and the messy yet beautiful freedom of two artists refusing to be boxed in. Created across hotel rooms, tour stops and late nights, the album merges DIY energy with diaristic honesty, resulting in a testament to friendship, growth and creative trust.

FearDorian and osquinn have long stood as two of the underground’s most innovative producer-artist hybrids. After years of one-off collabs, Discord links, and myth-level teasers, the longtime online-turned-real life friends have joined forces. Meeting as teens across SoundCloud servers and forums, they developed a shared language where emotion leads, rules loosen, and genre becomes a feeling rather than a framework. Early singles showcased their telepathic chemistry, trading warped cadences and post-internet soul over blown-out drums and glossy synths drawn from Atlanta’s emerging DIY rave-rap scene and digicore’s hyper-emotional DNA.

Rejecting trends and embracing risk, the project moves the underground forward with raw emotion, live-wire energy, and a depth that only appears when ego steps aside and life rushes in. Their influences span Cities Aviv, James K, Sade, Adrianne Lenker, Vegyn, Mk.gee, and countless late-night dives through ambient grooves and Spotify gems, but their truest influence is lived experience – shifting cities, friendships, breakdowns, rebuilds, and learning to live first, then make art about it.

The result is a raw, cinematic portrait of two artists coming of age not with bravado, but with intention. Emotionally charged and spiritually grounded, Before You Press Play captures the DIY spirit of a generation making worlds in bedrooms and bringing them to life in warehouses, skateparks, and every space where imagination echoes louder than industry noise.

Championed by the likes of Pitchfork, NoBells, The FADER, Business Insider, The New York Times, and more, FearDorian and osquinn have carved singular paths through the underground – moving like family, creating a world of distorted melodies, warped samples, and lyrical vulnerability.
