FIREBOY DML AND PHEELZ RELEASE COLLABORATION PROJECT ‘PEACE BY PIECE’

Global Afrobeats powerhouses and two of Nigeria’s most celebrated buzzing artists, Fireboy DML and Pheelz, have come together to release Peace by Piece out now via EMPIRE. The five-track EP is a blend of Fireboy’s soulful melodies and storytelling with Pheelz’s genre-defining production and lyricism – resulting in a project that is rich and sonically infectious.

The title Peace by Piece evokes the idea that peace is not something achieved all at once. So throughout the project each song offers a different piece of their journey. From the bounce and energy of “On A Kentro,” to the heartfelt gratitude of “Gozi” – every song is designed to resonate widely. “Shake” is built for the dance floor, “Young Again” channels freedom and celebration, and “ILWY (In Love With You)” closes the project as a sincere and timeless love song.

Though Fireboy and Pheelz connected during their overlap at Olamide’s YNBL, Peace by Piece marks the first official collaboration. The two have racked up billions of collective streams, global hits, and a long creative history. The project arrives after Fireboy DML’s anticipated self-titled effort adedamola last year which showcased his evolution as an artist and an individual. He graced the covers of Flaunt Magazine and Office Magazine, guest performed at Coachella, and with an impressive total of over 3 billion streams, Fireboy was listed on the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 List. Pheelz collaboration with Nigerian music legend Olamide when he was just a teenager, and subsequent works with global music icons like Davido and Wizkid have solidified his reputation as one of Africa’s best producers. However, it is the release and chart-topping success of his own music that has set Pheelz apart as an exciting artist and songwriter, resonating on a global scale.
