BRITs Rising Star award winners FLO have released their highly anticipated debut album ‘Access All Areas’a manifesto for the group, highlighting their no-holds-barred approach to music and life as the album delves deep into themes of love, sensuality, sisterhood and navigating life/industry as three young Black women. To celebrate the release of ‘Access All Areas’, FLO have dropped the official music video for In My Bag feat GloRilla.

Directed by Troy Roscoe and choreographed by Sean Bankhead, the music video follows FLO and GloRilla as they conduct a heist with a twist. ‘In My Bag’ is an energised humble brag, pairing bass-heavy rhythms with irresistibly sugared vocal stacks.

Speaking about ‘In My Bag’ and working with GloRilla, FLO said: “In My Bag is such a special song to us as we’re speaking life and greatness into us! It’s a manifestation… singing it live for our fans has been incredible because everyone in the room feels empowered and seen! We’ve been in our bag… and now everyone is too!”

“GLO is such a deserving, incredibly talented and sweet artist who we really admire. When she said she’d love to do a verse on In My Bag we were so happy because we knew she would kill it! We’ve loved working with her and are looking forward to everyone watching the video we shot together in Atlanta”

Reflected in the intro narrated by Cynthia Erivo, FLO’s debut album is a bold statement that cements their arrival with unapologetic confidence. Executive produced by MNEK, the 16-track album effortlessly blends rich tones of R&B and soul with pitched up original samples and futuristic production to create a sound that is both nostalgic and forward thinking. With contagious hooks, tight harmonies and candid, relatable lyricism, ‘Access All Areas’ offers listeners an intimate glimpse into their experiences.

Speaking about their debut album, FLO said: We cannot wait for our fans to finally be able to hear it. We’ve poured our hearts into this album and are immensely proud of the quality, sound, lyricism and storytelling we’ve created. We’re so grateful to all of the collaborators on the album and know the heights it’s going to take us to! We hope everyone loves it as much as we do!”

Critics have praised the album, with DAZED proclaiming it as “a debut…that delivers on the promise of their hype”, while New York Times have described it as “nostalgia meets ambition” and hailed FLO as “a girl group for a new generation”. The Times and NME both awarded the album 4 stars, with former declaring FLO have brought “a sense of fun and glamour that has been missing from modern pop”, while DIY awarded 4.5 stars, calling it “a definitive debut”. Metro have also celebrated FLO’s revival of girl group domination, praising “FLO’s unabashed lyrics and 90’s inspired melodies”.
