Following her explosive US Grammy and Guild of Music Supervisors Awards nominations, 2x Grammy nominee and Latin Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Gaby Moreno releases her new project X Mí (Vol. 1) via the trailblazing label Cosmica Artists. Ushering in a new chapter for the beloved artist, X Mí (Vol. 1), pronounced “Por Mi”, is a collection of rich and soulful acoustic songs that have remained dear to Gaby’s heart for years now in both English and Spanish. It’s lined with Gaby’s one-of-a-kind sound that has garnered large critical acclaim and the attention of some of today’s most esteemed artists, which has led her to share the stage with the likes of Andrea Bocelli, Tracy Chapman, Ani DiFranco, Punch Brothers, Hugh Laurie, Buena Vista Social Club, Calexico, David Gray, and many more.

Gaby’s tantalizing lead single “Luna de Xelajú” featuring Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated actor, producer, and musician Oscar Isaac has received large critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Variety, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, People en Español, Popsugar, Latina Magazine, and CNN en Español.

Outside of her large critical acclaim and extensive accolades in TV and film, Gaby has proven to be a groundbreaking artist whose impact has extended beyond just music. Through her various projects, Gaby has redefined Americana as the only prominent Latina in the genre today, ultimately opening the doors for other marginalized voices and transforming the landscape overall. Simultaneously, Gaby has harnessed the power of her art to fight for those often overlooked such as immigrants globally. She was recently named the first UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador from Guatemala and works closely with various organizations that support those on the margins.

GABY MORENO ON X MÍ (VOL. 1):

“I carefully selected these songs to bring them to a more personal and intimate space, where you could hear precisely how they sound as soon as the writing process is over. ‘X Mí’ (meaning ‘por mí’ in Spanish, ‘by me’ in English) is my way of getting back to the bare bones of these songs, where nothing else can distract the listener and where I can drown out all the noise outside. You’ll be hearing songs that were written 100% by me (except the beautiful cover of ‘Luna de Xelajú’), played by me and produced by me (hence, the album title), in a very raw and real setting. This is my most personal performance made-to-album yet.”
