GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING ARTIST LUCKY DAYE RELEASES NEW SINGLE “HERICANE”
GRAMMY award-winning, genre-bending R&B superstar Lucky Daye releases his new single “HERicane” via Keep Cool/RCA Records. Produced by longtime collaborator D’Mile, the dynamic track showcases his effervescent yet soulful vocals over a guitar laden, heavily rock-influenced beat, which sees Daye continue to defy the R&B genre effortlessly. Lyrically, the track, which is co-written by Daye, D’Mile, Mike “Hunnid” McGregor, Frank Nitty and Dustin “Dab” Bowie, leans into a more vulnerable space, ushering in a new era musically.
On “HERicane” Lucky Daye states, “This song is about being grounded in a chaotic relationship. It’s important for people to be reminded that it’s a good time to be yourself and shine. Just be grounded and fierce in who you are.”
“HERicane” is the first taste of new music from Lucky in 2024, following the release of his single “That’s You,” co-written and co-produced by award winning artist, Bruno Mars.
Lucky Daye has been at the forefront of the R&B genre, earning 11 GRAMMY nominations so far in his career, securing a GRAMMY win for Best Progressive R&B Album for his EP Table for Two (2021), and earning a GRAMMY nomination for Best R&B Album for his sophomore album Candydrip (2022). Breakout single from the album “Over,” hit the Billboard Hot 100, with Lucky delivering an electrifying performance of the track on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and the BET Soul Train Awards.
