GRAMMY NOMINATED R&B GREAT MARSHA AMBROSIUS DROPS NEW SINGLE “ONE NIGHT STAND”
GRAMMY-nominated soul legend Marsha Ambrosius returns with the sultry new single “One Night Stand”. Sprawling and sensual, the atmospheric R&B anthem showcases the Brit’s honey-dipped vocals as she paints a vivid picture of no-strings-attached romance. Stream now via Aftermath/Interscope Records.
“Thought we’d only go a couple rounds, couple naps in between,” Ambrosius sings joyously over rich, multi-layered production, “And we back at it for a couple hours.” The British songstress then drives the point home on the ecstatic chorus. “I lose control, I want you so,” she purrs. “Oh baby, just one night.” A bedroom soundtrack for the ages, “One Night Stand” finds Ambrosius in full control of her inimitable artistry.
“One Night Stand” follows the arrival of the Dr. Dre-produced “The Greatest” — her first single in 5 years — this past winter. That sizzling, triumphant track was featured heavily in ESPN’s Heisman Trophy promos. It also served as the first taste of her long-awaited new album, CASABLANCO, also executive produced by Dr. Dre, which is shaping up to be a stellar addition to her flawless discography.
From her time in R&B outfit Floetry to her solo career, Ambrosius has left an indelible mark on soul music with her captivating voice and insightful lyrics. With singles like “Far Away,” “Run,” and “Late Nights & Early Mornings,” she captures raw, intoxicating feelings of loss, heartache, and true connection. And that does not even begin to touch upon her vast writing credits over the years for the likes of Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys, Solange, and H.E.R.
Now, with “One Night Stand,” Ambrosius takes her talents to new and scintillating places, demonstrating why she is one of the world’s eminent R&B artists.
