GRAMMY-WINNING HITMAKER INK ANNOUNCES AMERICAN REJECT EP OUT MARCH 12
GRAMMY-winning hitmaker INK has announced her new EP, American Reject, out March 12. Along with the announcement, INK has shared the powerful title track along with a cinematic video chronicling her journey from busking on the streets of Atlanta to making her Stagecoach debut.
On the new track, INK reflects on the countless times throughout her life where she was doubted and cast aside, later using those moments to fuel her success. Her soulful vocals and poetic songwriting add a unique richness to the track. On the song, INK shares, “‘American Reject’ is special to me because it’s one that I didn’t have to write. It’s one that poured out of me within minutes. Everything from the story, to the rawness, the message, is TRULY who INK is at the core. I’m excited for people to get into the stripped back layer of my artistry.”
This evening, INK will be featured in the new episode of Fire Country as she performs the track in a scene. The episode premieres tonight at 9pm ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+ the next day.
INK has established herself as one of the decade’s most in-demand songwriters, working with industry giants such as Kendrick Lamar (winning a GRAMMY for Record of the Year for co-writing #1 hit “luther”), Beyonce (“16 Carriages,” “Ameriican Requiem”, “Alien Superstar”), BTS (“2.0”), and more. Now, INK is using her singular voice and genre-defying sound to tell her own story.
American Reject follows INK’s debut EP, BIG BUSKIN’, which was released last fall to widespread critical praise from Rolling Stone, Variety, Billboard, and more. INK began performing the new music live as she made her debut at several major festivals this year, including Stagecoach, Lollapalooza, and SXSW.
KEEP UP WITH INK
