HERENCIA DE PATRONES RELEASES “TONY MONTANA”, A POWERFUL CORRIDO ABOUT AMBITION AND POWER

Herencia de Patrones, pioneers of the corridos tumbados movement, released “Tony Montana” a powerful story about ambition, loyalty, and power. The single is now available on all digital platforms.
Inspired by Al Pacino’s iconic character in Scarface, “Tony Montana” draws from the Brian De Palma classic’s legendary phrase, “The world is yours,” building a sonic universe around themes of success, hard work, family, loyalty, and perseverance.
Musically, the single showcases the sound that has established Herencia de Patrones as one of the leading forces in corridos tumbados, blending traditional corrido instrumentation with modern trap elements and other urban rhythms.
“Tony Montana” serves as the central theme for CLIKA, a film produced by one of Música Mexicana’s titans, Jimmy Humilde (founder of Rancho Humilde), in collaboration with Columbia Pictures and Sony Music.
The film follows the story of Chito, portrayed by Jesús Diego “JayDee,” lead vocalist and songwriter of Herencia de Patrones, a small-town artist pursuing the American Dream through music. CLIKA chronicles the artist’s struggle to break into the music industry and his meteoric rise following the release of a viral video.
CLIKA will hit theaters across the United States in late January 2026.
This marks the first time Herencia de Patrones has participated in a film project, solidifying the group’s position as one of the most influential voices of their generation in contemporary Música Mexicana.
