ISAIAH FIREBRACE UNITES WITH EVIE IRIE ON NEW SINGLE “WHEN I’M WITH YOU”

One of the highest streamed First Nations artists in the world, Isaiah Firebrace, unites with the endlessly charismatic, pop-punk newcomer Evie Irie on new single“When I’m With You” out via Sony Music Entertainment Australia/RCA Records.

The single is their submission for Eurovision – Australia Decides. Hosted on the Gold Coast and broadcast live and exclusively on SBS on Saturday 26 February, as well as the performance going up on YouTube for worldwide viewing. The national selection show will feature some of Australia’s biggest acts, singing original compositions, for their chance to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy.

The sky is the limit for charismatic Isaiah and Evie, and to prove just that, they jumped out of a plane to announce their collaboration. If this doesn’t say we’re in this together, I don’t know what does.

On the track Isaiah says: “What a crazy time in the world to be releasing new music, but somehow it just feels like the right time. When Evie and I wrote this song, we could never have known that we would be performing it together for Eurovision – Australia Decides, and that’s the magic of music…. You never know where it will take you.”

“I love this song, a song about being separated but finding ways to come together, and I think everyone can relate to that at the moment. I’m proud to be releasing this with amazingly talented Evie Irie. I hope you guys love this song as much as I do.”

Evie agrees, continuing: “Sometimes the greatest results and friendships come out of the most unexpected collaborations. ‘When I’m With You’ was the first song we had ever written together and we had no intention or clue what we were writing for or who the song was even for! Things have a way of falling into place at the right time and I simply cannot wait any longer for our duet to come out so we can perform this song live on stage together and possibly go to Eurovision!”
