Música Mexicana superstar Ivan Cornejo shares his latest single, “Me Prometí”. Soft and spare, with dreamy vocals transcending acoustic melodies, the once hopeless romantic showcases a newfound vulnerability in closing chapters. “Me Prometí” is now available to stream on all digital platforms via Interscope Records.
Straying away from the Música Mexicana crooner’s heartbreak staple, “Me Prometí” embraces a different kind of intensity, allowing Ivan to breathe between power and vulnerability. Cutting in with whirring drone synthesizers, “Me Prometí” instantly warps into a beautifully haunting acoustic ballad, loyal to Ivan’s somber aesthetic, yet insightful, as it discovers a more matured and assertive artist. On the song, he pens of letting go of the love that holds him captive while a vocally inclined and experimental Ivan soars above the wistful production.
