JAXSON FREE’S “LET U GO (Skyline Sessions)”NOW AVAILABLE
Chart-topping songwriter Jaxson Free refreshes his latest single, “LET U GO,” with “LET U GO (Skyline Sessions),” a keyboard-forward configuration of the melodic tune. Recorded atop a roof in Nashville, the “Skyline Sessions” version of the track highlights the somber tone of Free’s vocals. The song, written by Free, Jacob Hackworth, Jordan Dozzi and Grady Block, is written from the perspective of a guy who would rather pretend, replay memories and live with ghosts than confront the hard truth that the relationship is over. The hitmaker and North Carolina native produced the track, wrapping heartbreak in emotional honesty. Accented by wind and natural elements, the stripped down version gives a ghostly feel to the tormented track.
“I often get comments online asking ‘when can we see you live?’ and ‘when are you going on tour?’ so we came up with the ‘Skyline Sessions’ as a way to give them a taste before I finally hit their city,” shared Free. “’LET U GO’ was already kind of an ethereal, sad vibe but the ‘Skyline Sessions’ version really puts it over the edge.”
