NAOMI SCOTT RELEASES HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM F.I.G

F.I.G, the highly-anticipated new studio album from Naomi Scott, is out now via Alter Music. An artistically-rich, world-building body of work, F.I.G is the clear and intentional debut from the London-born singer, songwriter and artist. A collection of 11 songs that reflect inspirations from across the soundscape of her life, F.I.G is the culmination of a years-long creative process which saw Scott hone her craft and work with collaborators including producers Lido and Dev Hynes, songwriters Daphne Gael and Goldwash, and creative director Kat Korb. Listen to the album HERE.

The album release is accompanied by another standout new track “Gracie” – a bold, bass-led pop anthem with a funk-tinged hook.

The video for “Gracie” was directed by Naomi and Jordan Spence and sees Scott return to her home town of Ilford where her musical life began, and introduces a fearless alter ego and self-possessed version of herself, one which she describes as “the non-people-pleasing version of me – the part that isn’t scared and says it as it is”.

She added – “The album is Fall Into Grace. Grace is my second name so one of the themes is falling into other versions of myself. And so ‘Gracie’ is kind of like an extension of that. It’s me pining for a version of myself that I wish I had more DNA of, the version of myself who isn’t so moved by how other people feel about me. The video then plays with the idea of me being possessed by Gracie until I fully succumb to her. I shot it in my hometown of Ilford, I’ve always wanted to shoot a music video there and it felt like the perfect moment and the perfect song.”

The announcement of F.I.G in January was accompanied by the ‘80s-nodding slink of album track “Losing You,” which followed the release of the swirling pop confessional “Sweet Nausea” last November, with track support from Radio 1 Future Pop; ahead of the UK live debut of her new music with two hometown shows at London’s Moth Club; as well a slot supporting Blood Orange at Alexandra Palace on 9th November. Other 2025 highlights include the release of three album tracks including the sweet and playful “Cherry”; sensual, bass-led pulse of “Rhythm”; and the stripped-back, emotionally-rich, alt-pop ballad “Cut Me Loose”, as well as a debut performance in North America at Lollapalooza festival, which included an electrifying set featuring a cameo from Johnny Yukon.

Naomi said of F.I.G – “I’m really proud of how meticulous it is but also how completely free I’ve been with the creative process,” she says. “This has been years of honing, craft, and detail and getting it exactly how I want it to be, working people I love, creating a soundscape that feels unique to our world, but also nostalgic and familiar. It really was a way for me to explore different versions of myself and with each song kind of mourn them I guess. Each song is a different ‘fig’, a different reality, a different path.”

Produced by Lido (Jordan Ward, Ariana Grande, Aminé), F.I.G is the clear and intentional debut from the London-born singer, songwriter and artist Naomi Scott. An artistically-rich, world-building body of work, F.I.G sees Scott deliver a collection of 11 songs that reflect inspirations from across the soundscape of her life. From the soulful church music of her youth (Mary Mary, Kim Burrell), through to the ‘80s stars that populated her dad’s Windows Media Player (Michael Jackson, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush), to the blog-era alt-pop heroes of her teens (Jessie Ware, Robyn et al), F.I.G rings with the tantalising spectres of these influences but transports them somewhere thrillingly new. This is the work of an artist in her own right, delivering her most personal and confident work to date. Along with recent releases F.I.G, additionally includes brand new singles “Hellbent,” “Call For Me,” “Best Kind,” “Bound” and “Bliss.”
