JHAY P, ONE OF COLOMBIA’S MOST PROMISING VOICES IN THE NEW URBAN GENERATION, RELEASES “CICATRIZ”

JHAY P, one of Medellín’s most promising emerging artists and a featured artist in Rolling Stone en Español’s “Future of Music 2026,” continues strengthening his presence in Latin urban music with the release of his latest single, “Cicatriz”.

With the new track, JHAY P continues building toward his forthcoming album, Desde Un Rincón de Medallo, while opening up about the aftermath of a love he believed was mutual, only to realize the other person never felt the same way. What once felt like something lasting is reduced to heartbreak, disappointment, and a scar that has yet to fully heal.

With lyrics like, “Damn, a good love comes at a cost / I gave it to you for free, and you still didn’t appreciate it,” JHAY P blends vulnerability and heartbreak with reggaetón, capturing a feeling many listeners know all too well: the disbelief that comes with realizing someone who seemed genuine may not have valued the relationship in the same way.

With “Cicatriz,” JHAY P opens a more vulnerable chapter within Desde Un Rincón de Medallo, turning emotional disappointment into a record rooted in honesty and rhythm. The track further expands his artistic narrative through real stories of love, desire, and relationships told from his distinctly Medellín perspective, reflecting the emotional experiences of a new generation.

“Cicatriz” follows a string of 2026 releases that have fueled JHAY P’s continued growth, including “RIKA,” “La Que Más Me Amó,” the merenguetón-inspired “Fue Culpa Suya,” “cualquiera miente” and “Cuando?”

Earlier this year, JHAY P was selected for the VEVO Newcomers 2026 program and featured on Rolling Stone en Español’s “Future of Music 2026” list, recognizing emerging artists with the potential to help shape the future of the global music landscape.

With more than 20 million streams worldwide and support from influential names across Latin music, including Karol G, Ryan Castro, Feid, Greeicy, Juan Duque, Maldy, and Geeezydee, JHAY P continues establishing himself as one of the strongest rising voices in Colombia’s new urban generation.

Driven by a rapidly growing fan base, a magnetic stage presence, and an increasingly defined artistic vision, JHAY P continues building a career rooted in authenticity, emotional storytelling, and the sound of a new generation coming out of Medellín.
