Briefly described by JUANES as a ‘very personal and cathartic’ song (with much greater insight set to arrive with Friday’s release), “GRIS” is the second look into a four-year in the making new period of original compositions by the globally renowned artist following his recent GRAMMY & LATIN GRAMMY winning ‘ORIGEN’ tribute album and world tour.
Begun with the recent critically praised lead single “AMORES PROHIBIDOS” – which already notched multiple weeks at #1 on Monitor Latino’s General Radio Airplay Chart in Mexico, this new creative cycle meshes an overall return to electric guitar rock with a deep dive back into his own long-praised skill as an ardent songwriter – who this time turned his focus inward during the pandemic to reexamine life, love, family, and more of his own emotional intricacies and imagination.
