LEON BRIDGES CREATES TACO WITH HOMESTATE FOR THEIR BAND TACO PROGRAM
“THE FT. WORTH” WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ALL FOUR HOMESTATE LOCATIONS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
A PORTION OF PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE BIG GOOD & CASA/LA

Leon Bridges is the latest artist to join forces with Southern California-based HomeState, a Texas Kitchen, for their Band Taco Program. Joining the elite company of previous contributors, the GRAMMY® Award-winning R&B artist and songwriter has created his very own taco for the initiative dubbed, “The Ft. Worth,” in homage to his beloved hometown. Starting on February 7, the taco will be available at all four HomeState locations for just $5 with $1.25 of every order donated to community organizations The Big Good and CASA/LA.
Regarding the partnership, Leon commented, “HomeState has always been my go-to taco spot when I’m in LA, because the food and vibes are so meticulous. It was the perfect place to sit and write, hang with friends, or wake up after a long night in the studio or on stage. The fact that it’s woman-owned by another Texan is really cool. I was super excited to create a taco that reminds me of my hometown Fort Worth, and be able to raise funds for The Big Good to boot. I hope people pull up with my taco, queso, and margs and just vibe.”
As far as ingredients go, “The Ft. Worth” consists of spicy achiote chicken, bacon, pico de gallo, lettuce, tomatillo ranch, and pickled jalapenos on a flour tortilla—all at his urging. The first ten patrons to order and enjoy “The Ft. Worth” at each location will receive a poster signed by Leon.
The Band Taco Program has brought tacos curated by artists to guests since 2015. Thus far, 20 participants have devised original tacos and ultimately benefited the greater good through, amplifying awareness and supporting various causes.
Leon’s critically acclaimed third full-length offering, Gold-Diggers Sound, garnered two Grammy Nominations in the the Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best R&B Album categories. Fans can listen to his latest track “Summer Rain” featuring Jazmine Sullivan here.
The Ft. Worth will be available to order until the end of April 2022.
