LIIM ANNOUNCES FALL HEADLINE TOUR INCLUDING NORTH AMERICAN, EU, AND UK DATES
Fresh off the release of his sophomore album A Sunflower Garden In Harlem Is Hard To Find, Liim announces a headline tour trekking North America, Europe, and the UK this fall.
The 14-date tour begins overseas on October 30th in Portugal at the Mucho Flow Festival ahead of his Turin, Paris, London, and Reykjavik and festival appearances, before returning to North America for the remainder of the tour. The North American leg of the tour includes a Camp Flog Gnaw performance, along with stops in Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, and DC before his homecoming show at Baby’s All Right in New York on November 29th. Inspired by the surrealism of self-discovery, Liim’s sophomore album, A Sunflower Garden In Harlem Is Hard To Find, explores his coming-of-age journey growing up in New York City through emotionally complex vignettes. Its release follows its previously shared singles “R.I.P Peace,” “Is Loving Really Bad?“, and “1980 (feat. AJRadico),” which have secured acclaim in the process, namely for its lead single, “R.I.P Peace,” which was named Pitchfork’s Best New Track and the COLORS exclusive “Machete Summer” that caught the attention of The New York Times. Sonically, the record is home to eclectic production courtesy of Liim’s frequent collaborators, Shamshawan and AJRadico, in addition to contributions from Lido, and it was recorded across the country, including Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Lady Studios. At its core, A Sunflower Garden In Harlem Is Hard To Find is more than just a coming-of-age record for Liim; it’s a meditation on what it means to carry the weight of where you’re from without letting it define who you are expected to be.
