LIIM ANNOUNCES FIRST EVER HEADLINE SHOW AT A24’S NEWLY RE-OPENED CHERRY LANE THEATRE
Harlem-raised artist Liim has just announced that he’ll play his first ever headline show at A24‘s historic, newly re-opened Cherry Lane Theatre on October 25th. The news arrives on the heels of his debut album Liim Lasalle Loves You, released last month. A raw and reflective coming-of-age statement that explores the emotional complexity of growing into adulthood through the lens of shifting relationships, deep friendships, and hard-earned life lessons, the album was led by singles “Why Why”, “Mezcal”, “Sahara Freestyle”, and “For The Both Of Us”.
With only 150 seats available, the Cherry Lane performance is designed as an immersive experience that blurs the lines between theatre and concert. Liim will be joined by live instrumentation, special guest appearances, and a curated atmosphere built to feel more like stepping into his world than attending a typical show. Exclusive merch, created in partnership with Cherry Lane and themed around Liim Lasalle Loves You, will be available on-site, further tying into Liim’s ongoing social campaign that places his community at the heart of his art.
In addition to his recent co-sign from Tyler, The Creator, Liim Lasalle Loves You followed his 2024 debut EP Petty Pete and standalone tracks like “Edward 40 Handz”. Raised in Harlem and now based in Brooklyn, he’s quickly made a name for himself for his unique blend of hip-hop, soul, and alternative soundscapes, which embody a patchwork of life experiences that highlight his New York City heritage. Despite attracting collaborators across fashion, music, and art, he remains close to the ground — his wisdom far surpassing his years. Still only 22 years old, he’s already modeled for Gucci and Supreme and has also recently earned critical praise from outlets like Pigeons & Planes, who hailed him as an artist whose music would “fit right in on a mix with artists like Blood Orange, Pharrell, and Steve Lacy.“
