For the 14th year in a row, rapper, entrepreneur, actor, humanitarian and legend Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges, takes over the city of Atlanta on Labor Day weekend. He uses this platform to bring together his community as well as his celebrity colleagues to raise money for The Ludacris Foundation and other charities that benefits children.
Ludacris kicked off the weekend with a celebrity bowling tournament which included Ludacris himself, Mack Wilds, Lance Gross, Teyana Taylor, KCamp and more. The event was open to the public and fans were ecstatic to be able to roam freely with celebrities and influencers. The tournament lasted about 2 hours and lets just say it got real. The competitive celebrities laughed, talked smack and enjoyed themselves. Although Ludacris did not win, he left in good spirits and it was an overall great event.
The weekend closed with a celebrity basketball game, Team Jamie Fox vs. Team Luda.

The teams included celebrities such as, Mechiesocrazy, Nick Pattiwhack, Love and Hip Hop Atlanta’s Bambi, Basketball Wives LA Laura Govan, rappers Blac Youngsta, YFN Luci, K Camp. Also included influencers, professional athletes and Atlanta’s own Fly Guy DC.
In the stands, there were many fans and celebrities such as Tyrese, Lorenz Tate, Reginae Carter, Mulatto, Light Skin Keisha and more. The support in the building was thick! The game started with the black national anthem sung by the crown and led by singer/ songwriter located in Atlanta, Talia. During the game, YFN Luci and Blac Youngster guard one another in a friendly competition.
During halftime, they conducted a free throw competition with the youth and the winner received a Playstation 4. After the halftime break, things got intense and the score was neck and neck.. Fly Guy DC assist Aaron Gordon with multiple slam dunks which ended up in them winning the overall game. The score ended up Team Luda 104 vs. Team Jamie 102. Very close game. On the way out, I was able to get a quick word with Laura Govan who stated how tired she was, she was doing her thing during the same. She and her sister have been playing basketball for years so she felt in her element.
