MECHATOK RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM WIDE AWAKE VIA YOUNG

Mechatok movement is upon us. The Munich-born producer, songwriter, and kaleidoscopic artist today releases his hotly anticipated debut album, Wide Awake, via Young Recordings. A precise and emotionally intuitive body of work, Wide Awake explores identity, authenticity, and expression in an era shaped by algorithms and digital overstimulation. Featuring a carefully curated global cast of contributors including Bladee, Ecco2k, Isabella Lovestory, f5ve, and Tohji, Wide Awake is a future-facing record that positions Mechatok not just as a sought-after collaborator but as a solo artist in full command of his voice.

To celebrate the release, Mechatok shares the vibrant new music video for “She’s A Director,” co-starring Isabella Lovestory, who also co-directed the visual and collaborated on the track. Playing on the song’s theme, Lovestory steps into the role of director both on and off screen. Featuring a cameo from Brixton producer Kamixlo, the video brims with the same bold, charismatic energy that drives the track.

Wide Awake is available to buy / stream digitally worldwide now here, with physical formats (black 12” LP and CD) available to pre-order ahead of the 5 September release. Also featuring the singles “Expression On Your Face” with Bladee and Ecco2k, “200” with Tohji, “Addiction” and “Virus Freestyle”, Tokdemir distills pop components until they become addictive, personal mantras; fragments that feel at once fleeting and enduring. On Wide Awake, he accesses forms of expression that feel paradoxically more intimate and timeless.

Following a sold-out London headline show, Mechatok continues to tour his new live show across the UK and Europe, Canada Full tour dates are listed below, and ticket information is available via www.mechatok.com.
