Mk.gee makes late night TV debut + headline tour starts April 23

Mk.gee made his late-night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a performance of album standout “Are You Looking Up” from his critically acclaimed debut album Two Star & The Dream Police. 

Since the album’s release in February, Mk.gee has released a series of live performance music videos that have also garnered high praise and expand on the shadowy subtleties of Two Star & The Dream Police. Created alongside director Danica Arias Kleinknecht, Mk.gee’s live visuals for “Dream police,” “Are You Looking Up,” “Candy” and recent addition “Little Bit More” unlock immersive live versions of these songs.

Mk.gee’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! debut precedes his upcoming headline tour, kicking off on the West Coast on April 23rd. He first unveiled plans for the tour shortly after the release of the album, which includes two sold-out nights at the renowned Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and successive sold-out shows in New York at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere and Irving Plaza in New York City. Having developed a signature sound across three EPs between 2018 and 2020, Mk.gee is exploring new territory with this debut album. Mk.gee’s sound has been evolving over the past several years hand-in-hand with his critical contributions to Dijon’s 2021 album Absolutely and subsequent tour dates with the likes of Bon Iver and boygenius.
