Following the radio and digital success of “Soleao,” his collaboration with Quevedo that this week reached #4 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Airplay and  Latin Rhythm Airplay charts, and #19 on Latin AirplayMyke Towers once again fuels the  musical conversation with Expectativas—a new single that reveals another facet of his current  sonic world.

Produced by Daramola and Moon Willis, “Expectativas” flows over an Afrobeat foundation  where Myke’s signature delivery merges with a more introspective emotional energy. The track delves into complex emotional territory—desire, doubt, vulnerability—with an artistic maturity that  reflects the creative moment the Puerto Rican artist is currently experiencing.

The music video, shot in Puerto Rico, features Myke on the beach, interwoven with real-life scenes of everyday life on the island—glances, gestures, and landscapes that build an authentic narrative from the heart of the Caribbean. It’s a clear reflection of the spirit driving this new chapter in his career: a deep exploration of his roots, his contrasts, and his evolution, aligned with the  aesthetic and conceptual universe of his upcoming project, Island Boyz.

While “Soleao” continues to gain momentum on the radio—currently holding the #5 spot on the  Mediabase PR Market Chart—and recently closed out its European run with a sold-out show at  Ushuaïa Ibiza, “Expectativas” signals a more intimate and reflective shift, without losing the  sharpness and freshness that have defined his biggest hits.

Myke Towers, who was recently awarded two honors at Premios Tu Música UrbanoSong of  the Year Duo or Group for “La Ranger” and Pop Song for “Degenere”—is clearly operating from  a place of creative clarity.

Additionally, it was confirmed this week that Myke Towers will take part in the upcoming edition  of Billboard Latin Music Week, set to take place from October 20 to 25 in Miami Beach.
