NIGERIAN ARTIST SEYI VIBEZ PARTNERS WITH EMPIRE + SHARES NEW SINGLE/VIDEO ‘PRESSURE’
Nigerian artist Seyi Vibez has shared a new single and music video called “Pressure” under his new partnership with global independent record label EMPIRE. It is a low tempo record where Seyi sings about applying pressure to a love interest. About the record, Seyi says: “‘Pressure’ is a complete shift from my usual sound. It leans into melody, intimacy, and raw emotion. It’s smoother, softer, and more intentional. I wanted to show my range, to prove that I can give you fire and tenderness in the same breath. This track is about the quiet power of love and attention. Sometimes the loudest statement is how you move when no one’s watching. That’s real pressure.”
To start the year, Seyi shared an acclaimed 4 song EP, Children of Africa, which debuted No. 8 on Billboard World Albums Chart and marked the first Nigerian project to chart in 2025. The EP, which has one feature on “MACHO” with NLE Choppa, set a record for the biggest opening week streams for any EP in Nigerian Spotify history at 7.92 million. Standout track “SHAOLIN” reached No. 1 on Official Nigeria Top 100 and peaked at No. 3 on Spotify Weekly Top Songs Nigeria, while “HAPPY SONG” entered the UK Official Afrobeats Chart at No. 45. All 4 songs entered the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
