OLE 60 RETURNS ON “NANCY AVE”
Kentucky six-piece Ole 60 returns today with their first new music in over seven months, the broken, acoustic “Nancy Ave”.
Written by the band’s Jacob Ty Young and Dwight McGlynn and produced by Jacquire Young and Justin Eckerd, the emotive new single is a snapshot of home, named after an avenue in Lewisport, KY just one town over from the band’s base of Hawesville.
Gut-wrenching, haunting, and born of raw reflection, “Nancy Ave” looks back without regret, with Young’s singular tenor narrating:
The things I said to you,
Nancy Avenue
I’d have stole the moon
If you dared me to
When I think of you
& what you put me through,
Nancy Avenue I’d do it over
Left a piece of me
On your dead end street
Wouldn’t change a thing
I’d do it over and over and over
“This song means more than any song I’ve ever been a part of, because it’s about the most important thing: home,” frontman Jacob Ty Young shares. “I can’t wait for people to listen to it and get a glimpse of how I feel about my small-town in western Kentucky.”
Last week, the Southern folk rock risers announced a fresh slate of headline dates for their 2025 U.S. Tour, adding stops at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, Atlanta’s Coca Cola Roxy, and Fort Worth’s Billy Bob’s, among others. Tickets are on-sale now HERE.
The band will also perform at notable festivals like Lollapalooza, Born & Raised Fest, Sand In My Boots, Harley-Davidson Homecoming, Country Concert, and BST Hyde Park opening for Zach Bryan this summer. Full list of tour dates below.
