OSAMASON RELEASES NEW ALBUM PSYKOTIC – OUT NOW SECOND LP OF 2025
Less than a year after the release of his highly acclaimed Jumpout, new wave rage-rap favorite OsamaSon has returned with his latest project, Psykotic — out now. Recorded almost entirely while on the 20-stop nationwide Jump Out Tour in Europe this Spring / Summer, OsamaSon’s newest effort harkens back to his Flex Musik era, embracing the experimental sound that defined the early years of his career. In releasing With Pyskotic & Jumpout, Osamason joins the pursuits of greats like DMX and Future –– dropping a sequential pair of high-level, sonically independent records in the same year. Assisted by a lineup of super-producers (Warren, Gyro, OK, Legion, Roxie) and FlexMusik executive producer Rok, Psykotic finds the 22-year-old phenom settling into his anointed role as a leader of the next generation of underground rap. The eyecatching album art is a reference to Three Black Nights of Little Black Bites (1983) – Marc & The Mambas, following the template of O’s creative the past few releases (Jumpout / Black Sabbath ref) + (Flex Musik / Future ref). Across 41-minutes, 22-year old South Carolina zooms through his toolbox of high-octane flows and 8-bit glitchy ear-worms over a bombastic soundscape.
This album marks another chapter in what has been an unprecedented run for the superstar, following this fall’s ongoing 55-stop worldwide Psykotic Tour, his electric Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash festival performance, and January’s critically acclaimed breakout album Jump Out –– which received album of the year (so far) nods from Pitchfork, COMPLEX, Vulture, and Rolling Stone. OsamaSon‘s chaotic style and energy-driven delivery have fueled his rapid rise, earning him recognition from The FADER, who knighted him “the closest thing rage-rap has to a Playboi Carti heir” while naming him to their 30 Coolest Rappers list. With Psykotic, it has become glaringly obvious why OsamaSon has emerged as one of the coolest out there, pushing the limits of rage rap with each new project.
