PLAQUEBOYMAX RELEASES “DIVA”
PlaqueBoyMax releases new single “Diva”, out now via Field Trip Recordings / Capitol Records. Mixing rap with modern club strains, the booming track finds Max combining synths, pulsing bass, and relentless verses.
The release arrives on the heels of a breakout week at Kai Cenat’s Streamer University, where Max became one of the event’s most talked-about personalities. In less than a week, he added more than 400,000 new followers while appearing alongside creators including Kai Cenat, Wardrobe, Skai Jackson, and others. His now-signature catchphrase, “Diva,” quickly became one of the event’s defining viral moments.
“Diva” also includes a shout-out to Prince, a major inspiration as Max leans into his expressive new era kicked off when he unveiled his bold “DIVA” tattoo and debuted a new logo that builds on the legendary artist’s iconic Love Symbol. He’s also been on a roll releasing new music. “Thong Song” dropped in June, while May brought his Crash Dummy EP. Prior to that, he shared “wyd” featuring Bryson Tiller and a music video starring Keke Palmer.
It’s been a monumental year for Max, who kicked off 2026 by making history as the first streamer to secure a GRAMMY® nod: Best Dance/Electronic Recording for his UK Platinum collaboration with Fred again.. and Skepta, “Victory Lap,” which they crafted while streaming. The trio wound up winning Best Dance Act at The BRIT Awards, while Max embarked on the international Victory Lap Tour. He also made his music festival debut this year, logging memorable sets at Rolling Loud Orlando and Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash.
Max has also recently been recognized for his broader work, picking up the coveted Disruptor Award at Billboard’s Power 100 event this year and coming in at #10 on Complex’s Hip Hop Media Power Ranking: The 2026 Edition. The latter noted that, “Despite his crossover into music creation, Plaqueboymax still has one of the most important platforms in hip-hop media.”
The streaming icon’s momentum carries over from a massive 2025 that saw Max’s arrival as an artist. In addition to releasing his debut album, Five Forever, which originally debuted at #1 on Apple Music’s Hip-Hop/Rap chart with 9M+first-week streams, he shared an expanded deluxe edition and dropped four EPs that charted his creative journey: LONDON, including collabs with Skepta and Lancey Foux; ATLANTA, featuring Quavo, Flo Milli, and more; five starcrete, a collaborative set with Lil Yachty’s Concrete Boys; and the aptly titled Too Much Music.
Max’s award-winning In The Boothstreaming series also hit new highs last year, logging freestyles and collaborations with a diverse and international hip-hop who’s who, including Will Smith, Burna Boy, Central Cee, Lil Baby, 2 Chainz, Quavo, Sexyy Redd, and Spanish star Bb Trickz, among many others. That series and the versus-style Song Wars cemented Max’s role in music and inspired lengthy features from the likes of The FADER, Interview Magazine, and Rolling Stone — the latter titled “Meet PlaqueBoyMax, Rap’s Gen Z Tastemaker.”
In December, Max took home a pair of top trophies at the 2025 Streamer Awards, including Best Music Streamer and Best Streamed Series (for In The Booth) — icing on a still-growing career that has earned him more than 350 million global streams, nearly 10 million monthly Spotify listeners, and over 4.6 million followers across Twitch and Youtube. With each new day, Max is proving that music and streaming aren’t just colliding –– they’re evolving together.
