POLIMÁ WESTCOAST RELEASES “COMO ANTES”, HIS NEW AND ROMANTIC OFFERING FOR THE FIRST PART OF 2025
Polimá Westcoast, a pivotal figure in the urban movement in Chile, returns to reestablish his relevance on the national stage, this time with his new release, “Como Antes”.
In his new offering, the Chilean artist surprises listeners with a laid-back track that moves away from his rhythmic performance while reintegrating all the emotional weight of someone who wishes to return to the good times of a relationship.
“It’s a song I created with Chilean producer Pablo Feliu, and we aimed to approach it with an acoustic style and innovative percussion as we constantly experiment and seek new sounds. Our goal was to refresh our sound in a minimalist manner. ‘Como Antes’ is dedicated to those who always appreciate the most beautiful aspects of a relationship,” says Polimá.
The Chilean-Angolan artist recently performed a triumphant set at this year’s Lollapalooza Chile festival, held in March. He gathered thousands of followers at Perry’s Stage, one of the main setups at Parque Cerrillos. His spectacular entrance amid a magic trick caught everyone’s attention, as did his intense performance that featured special guests Young Cister and Pablo Chill-E. This created an energetic connection with the audience, demonstrating this figure’s absolute relevance to the national music scene.
Last year, the artist achieved several milestones, including his shows at Teatro Teletón and Coliseo in Santiago, along with various international performances that confirm his significant appeal in the global market. His hits, such as “Ultra solo” (Ft. Pailita), “Baby otaku” (Ft. Pablito Pesadilla-Nickoog CLK-Fran C), “Lacone” (Ft. Quevedo-Mora), “Sextime” (Ft. Young Cister-Cris Mj), and “Nagasaki” (Ft. Emilia), are just a few examples.
With the release of “Como Antes,” Polimá Westcoast continues cultivating the success that has established him as one of the key figures in the urban genre in Chile and Latin America. In January of this year, the Chilean artist collaborated with Argentinian C.R.O to launch “LGN,” a track featuring house sounds, a style both artists chose to explore at that time. This venture takes urban music into new territory, reflecting Polimá’s artistic vision as a creator in constant evolution.
