Portland continues road swing with match against Orlando Pride on Saturday

Boyds, MD. – Saturday, May 19 2018: The Portland Thorns defeated the Washington Spirit 1-0 in a NWSL match at the Maryland SoccerPlex.

Continuing their six-game road swing to begin the season, Portland Thorns FC square off against the Orlando Pride on Saturday, May 11, at Orlando City Stadium; kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. (Pacific). Saturday’s match features a live web stream available on Yahoo! Sports.

Recent form
Portland (1-0-2, 5pts) is unbeaten in three matches to begin the 2019 season after earning a 2-2 draw on the road against Sky Blue FC on April 28. Emily Sonnett and Tobin Heath notched goals to help Thorns FC earn a point on the road. With the draw, Portland is unbeaten in its last eight (5-0-3) regular-season matches, dating back to the 2018 season.

Against Orlando
Saturday’s match is the second meeting of the season between Portland and Orlando, with Thorns FC recording a 2-0 win the first game of the season between the two sides on April 14.
