RAMÓN VEGA Returns To His Roots With “ALGO BIEN” The New Summer Anthem
Mexican artist Ramón Vega is releasing his new single “ALGO BIEN“. A song with strong Mexican influences, blending sounds ranging from traditional rhythms to R&B. It was recorded in the heart of La Villa Bonita, Municipality of Cajeme, Sonora, Mexico, by David Moreno, a producer who has been accompanying Ramón since the beginning of his career. With lyrics reflecting the everyday language of Sonora youth, this track promises to become a summer anthem inviting people to enjoy life and have a good time.
With “ALGO BIEN,” Ramón Vega returns to his family roots and continues the strong legacy of the “Vega Dynasty”. He proudly carries his surname but refreshes the sound he grew up with and interprets it in his own way.
“‘ALGO BIEN’ is inspired by the music we’ve been creating, with more urban lyrics and a regional sound, mixed with a touch of “charchetas” and “tumbado” rhythms,” explains Ramón Vega when talking about the inspiration behind this track. “It’s something we live, a lifestyle that finds happiness in the simplest things and makes us feel good.” This fusion of styles reflects his unique approach to music, blending traditional music with contemporary rhythms.
The song captures the joyful and carefree spirit of those memorable beach days with loved ones, becoming a familiar and everyday experience for everyone who listens.
Co-written by Ramón Vega, David Moreno, Luis Fernando Villegas, and Javier Robles, “ALGO BIEN” brings a fresh and vibrant sound to the Mexican regional genre, thanks to the fusion of these talents. But for its performer, it’s a personal and cultural milestone.
“Mexican music, especially regional Mexican music, beyond its cultural significance for my country, represents something truly amazing and grand for me. Coming from the Vega family, which has been making regional Mexican music for decades, this song is a return to my roots and an artistic rebirth. It genuinely comes from the heart and veins. We make it with a lot of love and respect,” expressed this young artist.
Ramón Vega’s music is deeply rooted in his Mexican heritage but he’s not afraid to experiment. Originally from Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, he began his musical career at the young age of 5 when he learned to play the accordion and guitar. By the age of 7, he was already doing covers, and at 14, during the onset of the pandemic, he composed the songs for his first EPs, “2000 Siempre” and “La Nueva R”. These projects showcased his roots in regional Mexican music and a distinctive fusion of urban sounds, including trap, reggae, and R&B. Ramón Vega also became part of the norteño group Cornelio Vega y su Dinastía, continuing the musical legacy alongside his father Cornelio Vega and his brothers, Cornelio Vega Jr. and Valentín Vega.
