redveil SHARES NEW SINGLE “giftbag”

Picking up where he left off with his critically-acclaimed 2022 album learn 2 swim, redveil shares his first taste of new music this year with new single “giftbag”. The rowdy, self-produced new track ignites redveil’s next sonic chapter and arrives on the heels of his Pitchfork Rising interview where he was lauded as having “a freshness to his style, (and) an understanding that every subgenre of rap feeds back into the whole”. The new single will surprise some listeners, with veil carrying a boisterous new confidence into new music this year, punctuated by him being unveiled as the lone feature on JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown’s forthcoming collaborative album out this Friday. “giftbag” is also accompanied by an equally-impressive new video directed by Tyler Shuler that mirrors the song’s message of being wary of the people allowed into his circle and the measures he’ll take to stay on track.

Later this spring, redveil will embark on his first national headlining water 2 fire tour following two North American runs last year alongside Freddie Gibbs and Denzel Curry. The 23-date run, featuring support from femdot. and D’mari Harris, will kick off in Philadelphia next month and includes sold out dates in Columbus, Seattle and New York. Tickets are on sale now HERE.This Fall, he’ll also be embarking on a run of dates in Australia and New Zealand in October, including performances at SXSW Sydney. A Spotify pre-sale for the Australia and New Zealand run is live now, and the tickets will go on-sale to the public on Friday, March 24th at 9AM local time.

Last year, redveil released his entirely self-produced album learn 2 swim, including the original version of “pg baby,” “better” featuring Sam Truth and “diving board.” Across its 12 tracks, redveil channeled a beyond-his-years wisdom into his music, emerging with an unflinching project that displayed the full breadth of his artistic vision from production, to songwriting and lyricism, and unraveled his own inner battles and flaws intertwined with moments of relief and appreciation. Learn 2 swim cemented redveil as an emerging talent to watch in hip-hop for years to come.
