REMA ANNOUNCES THE ARRIVAL OF NEW ALBUM HEIS OUT JULY 11TH
REMA WILL BE HEADLINING AFRO NATION IN DETROIT NEXT MONTH,
ALSO PERFORMING AT WIRELESS FESTIVAL IN LONDON THIS WEEKEND
Global superstar Rema has announced the arrival of a brand new project, titled HEIS, out this Thursday, July 11th (on Mavin Global/Jonzing World/Interscope Records). The announcement came alongside a brand new song release “HEHEHE” on which Rema delivers a bold and unapologetic response to critics. The track is a taunt to those who have doubted him, showcasing his confidence and success. The drum patterns and cadence distinctly showcase his heritage, continuing his mission to connect listeners with his origins.
“HEHEHE” follows the recently released “Benin Boys” featuring fellow Nigerian star Shalipoppi — another track off the forthcoming album. The “Afrobeats banger” (Billboard) was a surprise release and a tribute to Benin City, from which they both hail while the video is packed with symbolism and touchstones of Benin culture — watch here.
The 24 year old producer and artist is currently on a massive Summer festival run having already played in Spain, Romania, Portugal and France. He will play Wireless Festival this weekend in London and make his way Stateside to headline the inaugural Afro Nation Festival in Detroit, Michigan.
