Global superstar Rema has released his second studio album, HEIS (out on Mavin Global/Jonzing World/Interscope Records). The album released global store turn Nigeria time and is available now to stream across DSPs.

HEIS comes on the heels of recent surprise drops including the dynamic “BENIN BOYS” featuring fellow Nigerian star Shalipoppi as well as the braggadocious “HEHEHE” on which Rema delivers a bold and unapologetic response to critics. The album follows these themes throughout with Rema flexing his award-winning penmanship across heavy percussion and rhythmic melodies — a nod to the roots of Afrobeats. The chosen drum patterns and cadence distinctly showcase his heritage, continuing his mission to connect listeners with his origins. A conscious stylistic choice, HEIS is an exploration of the genre pioneered by luminaries that came before him but made new through the use of sampling (“VILLAIN”, Lana Del Rey) and modern instrumentation.
