Remy Ma And A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Are In Good “Company” with their new record
Remy Ma continues to work on her forthcoming album 7 Winters & 6 Summers. As fans await the forthcoming effort, today (April 26), Remy joined forces with her fellow Boogie Down Bronx-bred A Boogie wit da Hoodie for a new record titled, “Company.”
Over snares and kicks, the mother and wife claims her independence as well as her knack for securing the money bag.
“Baby, what you want from me?/I been gettin’ money, I could really put you on your feet/I was gettin’ one visit, two phone calls, three showers a week/Now I get like 90K for my voice just to touch the beat, but yo
I will never ask you what you got for me/I just want some sloppy, every couple days I want the D/I don’t need no E, I got some M’s and now I got a G/Can’t explain the nueva, boy, it’s somethin’ you gotta see, but yeah,” raps Remy.
As expected, Boogie strong-arms the song’s melodious hook.
Aside from Remy Ma’ rap career, she is also a Love & Hip-Hop reality-television star. Over the holidays, the 37-year-old spoke with VIBE about her and her husband’s Papoose hour-long VH1 Special ‘Remy & Papoose: A Merry Mackie Holiday.’
“It is a little different because when we are filming with “Love and Hip Hop,” it is [based on] specific aspects of our lives. We are a little more cautious with [filming]. As opposed to when it is your situation. We both have co-executive [producer] credits on “Remy & Papoose: A Merry Mackie Holiday.” You get to see a different dynamic between us, and our interaction with our family.”
She also spoke about balancing a blended family.
“It is difficult because everybody has their boundaries. It [will be] different when we have our own child together. We try our best to be [great] parents to all of our children… [and treat them] the same way. But, we still have to have that little inkling in the back of our minds, to be thoughtful. There are other parents that we have to respect. And, then the kids! I don’t want them to feel like they can try and take advantage or play us… because they will if you allow them to.”
