RISING R&B ARTIST GABRIEL JACOBY RELEASES NEW SINGLE AND VISUAL “baby”
Rising R&B artist, producer, singer, and songwriter Gabriel Jacoby has officially released his latest single “baby”, alongside an accompanying visualizer, out now via PULSE Records. A soulful ode to love in its purest form, the track finds Gabriel offering care and stability to someone he holds close while embracing the vulnerability that comes with deep connection. Weaving his signature falsetto and raspy vocal tones with a stripped-back drum groove and funk-driven bassline, “baby” highlights Gabriel’s maturity as a songwriter as he reflects on past relationships and what he now feels ready to bring to the table.
“’baby’ is a more of a straight ahead R&B song from the perspective of a more mature version of myself,” Gabriel shares. “This song serves to tell you who I am as a partner, and that as long as you’re with me I’ll always give you the respect you deserve.”
Co-Directed by Juan Nieto, the “baby” visualizer opens with Gabriel outside Gold Teeth Master, a Tampa grillz shop owned by a close friend, surrounded by his crew. As night falls, he moves through the city reflecting on a love he’s ready to nurture and protect, even as she remains with someone who doesn’t treat her right. The love interest serves as a larger metaphor for the world and the people in his life, conveying that Gabriel is a safe place, someone they can confide in and trust to hold them down. The visual mirrors the song’s raw and honest emotional core, grounding its sentiment in real, lived moments.
This fall, Gabriel will join R&B artist, Khamari, as the sole opener and direct support on his North American TO DRY A TEAR tour, starting November 1 at Brushy Street Commonsin Austin and includes a highly anticipated show on November 16 at Elsewhere in Brooklyn and two shows in Los Angeles at El Rey Theatre. Tickets are available HERE.
Last month, Gabriel released his single and visualizer for “the one,” a love-driven homage to the uptempo funk sound that once defined roller discos across his hometown, which earned praise from NPR, Billboard, BET, Stereogum and more. Jacoby’s raspy vocals mirror the guitar’s energy, the two moving in sync as he delivers a confident declaration of admiration, making it clear that he is the one. Listen HERE.
The release of “baby” and “the one” follows blues-tinged love song, “be careful,” which Jacoby initially teased on TikTok, where he has seen a surge of over 30K followers in two months and amassed 2M views and 300.K likes across his page. His acoustic performance of “make it sweet” has drawn more than 186K views, underscoring the growing connection with his audience.
2025 has been an exciting year for Jacoby. He was named one of Shazam’s Fast Forward Artists, sat down with Travis Mills on Apple Music, co-wrote Shaboozey’s “Chrome – Bonus,” and opened for DWLLRS at their sold-out show at The Echo in Los Angeles. With over 4.3 million streams across his catalog, he has appeared on the cover of Spotify’s Vanguard and Tidal’s R&B: Rising, and was featured #1 on Apple Music’s Love Letters, Soul Revival, and Slow Dancing playlists.
In addition to the release of “baby,” Jacoby has steadily built his presence with singles such as “need your love,”(prod. by Nevin Sastry, Shaboozey), “brother and sister,” “forever” (2.2M+ RTD streams), “hillside,” and most recently, “the one.”
Born in Anderson, South Carolina, and raised in Tampa, Florida, the 26-year old multi-instrumentalist has navigated a range of life experiences that inform his distinctive voice, style, and artistry. Self-taught on guitar, bass, and drums, he writes, produces, records, mixes, and masters all his music, while also directing and editing most of his visuals. His sound is a dynamic blend of R&B, soul, and alternative elements infused with funk, blues, hip-hop, folk, and hints of Southern country. Early work like “Mr. Poet” on SoundCloud showcased his lyricism and set the stage for his breakout in 2022 with “reptile.” Featured on YAMS The Playlist and Lyrical Lemonade, and with co-signs from Shaboozey and Leon Thomas, Jacoby has continued to build momentum, establishing himself as a Southern R&B crooner whose groove, soul, and authenticity are unmistakably his own.
