RO$AMA STEPS INTO HIS FORTE WITH ALBUM MY FORTE, OUT SEPTEMBER 11TH
Multiplatinum award winning artist and songwriter Dallas Texas artist Ro$ama announces the release of his debut album, My Forte, arriving September 11 via UnitedMasters / 600 Entertainment. The project follows a major stretch in Ro$ama’s career, including receiving his third BMI Award for his songwriting contribution to BigXthaPlug’s “The Largest” and the announcement of his partnership with True Religion as the face of the brand’s True Religion On Tour Concert Series in Houston. The partnership further cements Ro$ama’s connection to Texas culture, with the artist representing the state’s influence and energy throughout the touring concert series.
Spanning 20 tracks, My Forte introduces Ro$ama through a project that is deeply personal without being confined to a single perspective. The album moves between family, relationships, ambition, uncertainty, confidence, and the realities that come with growth, offering a fuller picture of the person behind the artist. Rather than presenting one definitive version of himself, Ro$ama uses the project to explore the different sides of his identity and the experiences that have informed his evolution.
The project opens with a personal and sentimental interlude before leading into “E.T.,” immediately setting the tone for a body of work that balances introspection with the energy and confidence that have become central to Ro$ama’s sound. From there, My Forte moves through a range of moods and perspectives, shifting between reflective records, family tributes, hard-hitting Southern rap, and moments that capture the momentum of his rise.

At its core, My Forte is about knowing what makes you who you are and embracing every part of it. Ro$ama doesn’t separate the personal from the hustle or the vulnerable moments from the victories. Instead, the album allows those sides to exist together — family and ambition, tenderness and toughness, struggle and success. The result is a project that gives listeners a closer look at the person behind the music and the experiences informing his evolution as an artist, father, and storyteller.
The theme is conveyed throughout the tracklist. “Momma Forte,” “Auntie & Granny Forte,” and “Auntie Forte” pay tribute to the women who helped shape his life, while “Save Me,” and “Cold Feet” reveal a more vulnerable side of Ro$ama, confronting fear, pressure, uncertainty, and the emotional weight that can accompany his journey. On the other end of the spectrum, “Light Show,” “Stucc In Da Trapp,” “Throwin’ Dem Bands,” and “Dangerous” embrace the confidence, hunger, and hard-earned triumph that have become equally important parts of his story.
The album brings together a dynamic group of collaborators, including Big Savage, who appears on “Light Show” and “Stucc In Da Trapp”; BigXthaPlug on “Picc Ah Side”; Monaleo on “Bolaji”; and KevinGotBandz on “Yung Shiners.” Working alongside an esteemed lineup of producers including Bankroll Gotit, Tony Coles, SheffMade, and Charley Cooks, My Forte pairs Ro$ama’s distinct Southern perspective with production that moves seamlessly between hard-hitting trap, melodic moments, and more introspective soundscapes.
Accompanying the release of My Forte, Ro$ama unveils the official music video for “E.T.,” produced by esteemed videographer Brandon Pace. Shot throughout Dallas, the video transforms the song into a cinematic portrait of Ro$ama’s life, tracing the experiences, relationships, sacrifices, and aspirations that have shaped him. Rather than functioning simply as a performance visual, the video pulls back the curtain on the life behind the lyrics. It moves between moments of vulnerability and images of accomplishment, creating a contrast between the person Ro$ama has always been and the artist he has become. Family sits at the center of that story, with appearances from his twin daughters and mother grounding the video in the people who give his ambition its deeper purpose. BigXthaPlug also makes a cameo, further connecting the video to Ro$ama’s creative journey and the relationships that have helped shape his rise.
The color orange emerges as a deliberate and recurring motif throughout the video, appearing across the imagery and environments as a connective thread between different moments in Ro$ama’s journey. Most notably, orange balloons recur throughout the piece, creating a striking visual language that mirrors the song’s lyrical themes and represents the movement between memory, growth, vulnerability, and forward momentum.
Additional appearances from him in a classroom, alongside imagery including a shoebox filled with money, juxtapose Ro$ama’s hustle and financial success with the more personal world surrounding him. The result reinforces the song’s larger message: the life an artist builds in the present is inseparable from the experiences that brought him there. “E.T.” ultimately extends the world of My Forte beyond the music, translating the record’s introspection and ambition into a distinctly Texas-rooted story.
Ro$ama arrives at My Forte with a rapidly expanding footprint across music, culture, and live performance. He has surpassed 450 global streams and 2 million monthly listeners, while earning recognition as a songwriter through his work with BigXthaPlug, including his third BMI Award for “The Largest.” His catalog also includes the 110-million-plus-streaming “Meet The 6ixers” and “6WA,” which has surpassed 55 million streams. His growing profile has taken him to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon alongside 6WA, the Godzilla x Kong soundtrack, Coachella, Rolling Loud, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Wireless, Governors Ball, and other major stages, as well as the Orange Tape Tour.
Now, with My Forte, Ro$ama steps forward with his most complete introduction yet — a project that reflects the range of his voice, the people and places that continue to influence him, and the perspective he has developed along the way. With new music, major brand momentum, and a growing presence across music and culture, the release marks the beginning of a new chapter for an artist continuing to define his own lane.
