ROD WAVE RELEASES “GIRL OF MY DREAMS” VISUAL
We could all use an escape from our living rooms during the harsh yet necessary quarantine across the country. Unfortunately for rapper-singer Rod Wave (Alamo/Geffen Records) the downtime has him thinking about a toxic relationship with a special someone in his “Girl Of My Dreams” video. In the Brett Arndt-directed visuals, Rod Wave is stuck in his bedroom reminiscing about a girl who’s seen walking in a beautiful landscape fit for an art museum. The former flame who broke his heart was the best and worst thing for him: “Devil in a dress/Angel in some Nike Airs.” Even though he erased her from his phone, the mixed emotions attached to the memories haven’t faded. “Girl Of My Dreams” is off of the Florida artist’s debut album Pray 4 Love.
Ghetto Gospel peaked at #10 on the Billboard 200 (currently #38) and paved the way for the sold out 22-stop duly-titled tour which is awaiting its new dates due to the current global pandemic. Meanwhile, Pray 4 Love has had an incredible amount of success, to date, sitting at #11 on the Billboard 200. The album peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Top Rap Album chart and debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. On the weeks surrounding its debut, the record earned the title for “Most Streamed Album of the Week” with 105.8 million on-demand streams while claiming the #2 spot on YouTube US’ Top 10 Artists list. “Heart On Ice” and “Girl Of My Dreams” currently sit at #29 and #100 on the Hot 100 Billboard Chart, respectively. The album includes production by TnTXD, SpeakerBangerz and Drum Dummie.
