On the third night of the highly anticipated “Big Picture” tour, excitement buzzed through the air as fans formed a visible line stretching from above Atlanta’s historic Underground district. The crowd, full of energy and anticipation, eagerly awaited the moment the venue doors would swing open. The star attraction of the evening was none other than Saba, the acclaimed rapper and producer hailing from Chicago. Not only were the fans visibly thrilled to witness his live performance, but even those stationed in the media pit—typically more reserved and focused on coverage—were enthusiastically looking forward to the show. It was clear that Saba had cultivated a devoted following that extended well beyond just his listeners.

The atmosphere intensified once DJ Oreo took the stage. He kicked off his set with selections from Kendrick Lamar, immediately connecting with the audience. Heads bounced in unison to the beat, while many fans closed their eyes and passionately mouthed the lyrics, fully immersing themselves in the music. Pausing between tracks, DJ Oreo addressed the crowd directly, seeking their feedback on his song choices. Their enthusiastic cheers left no doubt—they approved wholeheartedly. At several moments, DJ Oreo stepped forward to engage more personally with the fans, sharing moments of humor and connection. In one standout interaction, he acknowledged a particularly high-energy fan by gifting her a T-shirt from the tour’s merchandise booth, further cementing the feeling of community that permeated the night. As his set progressed, DJ Oreo transitioned into playing tracks that featured Saba, including the emotionally resonant Dreamville collaboration, “Sacrifices.”
Next up was Ovrkast, who was making his Atlanta debut. Donning a hat boldly labeled “IMPORTANT NOBODY”, Ovrkast took the stage accompanied by his cousin. His headwear immediately caught the attention of curious audience members, who asked the DJ where it came from. With a grin, he playfully claimed gatekeeper status, refusing to reveal the source. Despite it being his first performance in the city, Ovrkast displayed a confident and magnetic stage presence. He complimented audience members on their fashion choices and was particularly impressed when one fan held up a rare pair of sneakers from a Nike x Travis Scott collaboration. To further hype up the energy, Ovrkast led the audience in a spirited call-and-response using his track “I’m On.” His movement across the stage and charisma were notable, and he closed his set with a crowd-pleasing performance of “Strange Ways.”
As the final act approached, chants of “Saba” echoed throughout The Masquerade’s “Heaven”. The anticipation was palpable. One by one, Saba’s band members emerged, raising the energy even higher. Then, to roaring applause, Saba made his entrance, dressed in sleek all-black attire and beaming with joy. It had been three years since his last Atlanta performance, and he made it clear how grateful he was to be back. He launched into his set with the fiery track “Stop Playing With Me”, igniting the room. Fans immediately lifted their phones, hoping to capture every moment despite the thick crowd. When Saba began discussing his critically acclaimed 2018 album Care For Me, the crowd responded with cheers, showing their appreciation for his earlier work.
He performed “GREY” and followed it with a more intimate moment, bringing out a stool to sit and perform “Papaya.” The audience swayed rhythmically, singing along in unison. By the end of his set, the energy was still electric, and fans weren’t ready for it to end. As Saba exited the stage, the crowd chanted “One more song,” a testament to the impact of his performance and the connection he shared with those in attendance.
