SALIMATA shares new video single “9-5” – out now via 10k Global
On the heels of a 5-month musical hiatus, Brooklyn born and raised artist SALIMATA has released her newest single “9-5” — out now via 10k Global, the independent Brooklyn-based label and artist collective led by MIKE. Built on a meandering piano progression, “9-5” shows off the old-school mic presence and lyricism that makes SALIMATA such a promising new voice in the independent rap space. Shot in Marseille, France by Dani Aphrodite, the video adds color to her storytelling over the past few months she’s spent on international tour across the U.S. and Europe. The release follows her March On The Radar freestyle and a run of projects, including Wooden Floors (2024) with highlights like “u kno who u are”(feat. MIKE) and “Pootie Tang” (feat. Pink Siifu), her 2023 single “TAKE U DEA”, and her 2022 10k debut Salimata Presents – OUCH.
