samxemma release new single ‘YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU’ via September Records

Manchester UK-based transatlantic duo samxemma return their with new single ‘YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU’ via September Records (Obongjayar, For Those I Love), a maximalist emotional detonation built on drum & bass adrenaline, hyperpop sugar, and pop euphoria.
‘YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU’ marks a fast follow-up to August’s boundary-crashing five-track EP, ‘HOT PEOPLE MAKE HOT MUSIC’.
Spinning like a late-night confession screamed through a strobe light, ‘YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU’ is a rush of affection and self-awareness that never loses its pulse. Emma’s vocals shift between tenderness and total frenzy, while Sam’s production hits like a rave running on 200% battery, all breakneck percussion, skittering drum & bass rhythms, and glassy, addictive hooks.
On the release of their new single, samxemma said:
“YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU is the result of trying to merge melodic, catchy hyperpop with hard hitting drum & bass. It’s also an unapologetic love letter to someone who you can’t stop thinking about.”
Formed between Northampton (Sam) and Santa Barbara (Emma), and now based in Manchester, samxemma‘s ‘HOT PEOPLE MAKE HOT MUSIC’ EP was the sound of two artists reshaping DIY pop into something explosive and unruly – with songs that felt like group chats on fire; caustic and forever 20 seconds from chaos.
Powered by Emma’s biting, unfiltered lyrics and Sam’s genre-agnostic, club-ready production (drawing from Skrillex, Porter Robinson, Pluko, and a whole lot of late-night YouTube black holes), samxemma‘s vision feels fully formed: not just collaborators, but co-conspirators in a world of their own.
samxemma (pronounced sam-times-emma) released their debut EP ‘Athens’ in 2023. In the time since then, they sold out headlines in Manchester and London, were selected as a ReBalance artist by Festival Republic, have performed at The Great Escape, Latitude Festival, Beyond The Music and Kendal Calling, received early press support from Dork (HYPE Cover), Wonderland, Notion, The Line of Best Fit, Popjustice, alongside being named BBC Radio 1‘s Introducing Artist of the Week.
With momentum building and their sound crystallising into something unmistakable, samxemma are quietly – or rather, loudly – positioning themselves as one of the UK’s most exciting new pop acts heading into 2026.
