Shygirl releases Nymph in the Wild EP. The release comes alongside recently announced Mercury Prize shortlisting for Shygirl’s debut album Nymph and follows her three AIM Independent Music Award nominations for UK Independent Breakthrough, Best Independent Track, and Best Independent Album.

Nymph in the Wild EP, features live arrangements and mashups of three songs off the debut album with an additional bonus track. Earlier this year, Shygirl released her remix album, Nymph_o, which in addition to Tinashe features Björk, Arca, Erika de Casier, Eartheater, Fatima Al Qadiri and more. Fusing together experimental pop and deconstructed club music, Shygirl’s debut album Nymph was praised for its intimacy and emotional depth. The album included the tracks “Shlut,” “Nike,” “Coochie (a bedtime story)“, “Come For Me” and “Firefly,” all of which showcased Shygirl’s innovative approach. A 4* review from The Guardian labelled the album “a sensuous, playful debut” whilst Pitchfork called it “a definitive collection of songs that builds upon what already makes the artist remarkable.” Nymph reached #2 on the Current Electronic Albums chart and #1 on the NACC Electronic Top 200 chart.

In addition to her musical endeavours, Shygirl has also made a name for herself in the fashion world, starring in Calvin Klein’s Fall campaign and in Mugler’s latest collaboration with H&M, as well as being one of the few stars featured in the campaign for Daniel Lee’s first collection for Burberry. She was also included in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list and has graced the cover of multiple prestigious magazines including Another, Cultured Magazine, Office Magazine, V Magazine and 032c.
