The night kicked off at the Chicago House of Blues with a fantastic performance by the first-time tour artist, Naethan Apollo. It was his debut opening in Chicago, and he was greeted with an enormous wave of cheers from the audience. Naethan’s ecstatic energy and charismatic stage presence set the perfect tone for the sold-out show.
Throughout his set, Naethan kept the crowd engaged, explaining how his rapid rise to fame had been a whirlwind, and he expressed deep gratitude for all the success he’d achieved. He started the night with one of his most popular songs, “Lemon Lime Lips,” which he revealed was a personal favorite. The crowd was fully immersed in the performance, eagerly anticipating his most popular track, “Person in the Mirror.” The audience’s enthusiastic response showcased their appreciation for Naethan’s talent and charisma, and they did an exceptional job of hyping up the already charged atmosphere.

Following Naethan Apollo, it was Boywithuke‘s turn to take the stage, and it was evident that the Chicago crowd had been eagerly awaiting his performance. Chants of “We want Boywithuke!” reverberated throughout the venue, making it clear that fans were excited to see him in action. The show got underway shortly after, and Boywithuke made a grand entrance, greeted by an overwhelming response from the audience. At one point, the crowd’s cheers even overshadowed the artist himself.
Boywithuke‘s setlist included a mix of his classic hits and brand-new releases. He engaged with fans, often approaching the front row and graciously accepting gifts from them. It was clear that he relished the feedback from the sold-out crowd. He gave the Chicago audience several opportunities to sing along, and his energetic dance moves added an extra layer of excitement to the songs.

One of the standout moments of the night was when Boywithuke invited a concert-goer to join him on stage. The lucky guest, visibly thrilled and a bit nervous, sang “Understand” alongside Boywithuke, eliciting wild cheers from the crowd. Witnessing a fan getting the chance of a lifetime to share the stage with their idol was a heartwarming sight.
After this unforgettable moment, Boywithuke treated the audience to more unreleased and recently dropped music. He began with “Migraine,” which coincidentally had its official music video released that very night. The crowd eagerly sang along, getting hyped about the prospect of hearing all this new music. Boywithuke then performed the unreleased song “Homesick,” describing it as a track that resonated deeply with him during the tour, as it expressed his longing for home and family. The audience showed their appreciation with a thunderous round of applause for his inspiring speech.

Following a generous dose of new music, Boywithuke finally delivered the songs the crowd had been eagerly waiting for, “IDGAF” and an acoustic version of “Trauma,” bringing the night to a relaxing yet energetic conclusion. This concert was undeniably one of the most thrilling shows I’ve attended, featuring high-energy performances and some of the most enthusiastic crowd feedback I’ve ever witnessed. Boywithuke and Naethan Apollo truly delivered a night to remember at the Chicago House of Blues.
