STEPHEN DAWES SHARES NEW SINGLE “UP AT NIGHT”
NEW EP OUT SEPTEMBER 13
On the verge of a breakthrough in 2024, buzzing alternative pop singer and songwriter Stephen Dawes shares a new single entitled “Up At Night” out now via Republic Records. It heralds the arrival of his anxiously awaited new EP, landing on September 13.
The track revolves around a head-nodding beat punctuated by funkified synths. Stephen flexes his range with a showstopping vocal performance practically overflowing with emotion. “Up At Night” culminates on a chantable chorus as he confesses, “I just want to hold you tight,” going on to plead, “Up at night, tell me that I’m on your mind.”
It lands in the wake of “I’m Yours.” Beyond nearing half-a-million streams, it landed on Spotify playlists such as soda and more. Earlier this year, “Want Me” generated 4.5 million Spotify streams in addition to earning looks from IMPRINT and more.
During the fall, Stephen will headline a series of shows. He rolls through Mercury Lounge in New York, NY on September 12, and Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles, CA on September 14.
Last year, his 2023 fan favorite The Day We Met EP racked up over 20 million streams and garnered critical acclaim. SWEETY HIGH applauded how “It encapsulates his personal journey thus far, transforming his emotions into unforgettable tracks.” Not to mention, he canvased the country on tour with Peter McPoland in support of the project.
