This Friday, Dauber will release their highly anticipated debut album Falling Down on CD, cassette, LP, and digitally via Dromedary Records, Recess Records, and State Champion Records (pre-order). In anticipation of Friday’s release date the album is streaming in full at New Noise Magazine.

On the album, band’s Mike Abbate says:

“We wanted to create an album that preserves the energy of a live, loud, loose, and energetic band playing in a basement. You can hear the speakers rattling on our half-broken amps. It’s a pretty accurate representation of what Dauber does.”

“Sure, the lyrics might render this album a bit of a self-deprecating downer, but it’s a celebration of the catharsis of rock music. I’m just singing what’s on my mind. Just because my primary creative outlet in Screaming Females came to an end last year doesn’t mean I am done making music. I am a musical person, and I’m going to keep creating. I don’t see that changing.”

Dauber is touring this month in support of Falling Down. The upcoming tour will include shows in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Chicago, Philadelphia and more. All upcoming shows are listed below and tickets are on sale now.

Formed in Hudson, NY by former Screaming Females bassist Mike Abbate alongside Quinn Murphy and Jenna Fairey, this poppy trio combines loud distortion, raw spirit, and infectious melodies in a way that feels primal yet carefully constructed. Dauber is like a crude painter, daubing blobs of paint on canvas in a messy yet deliberate burst of creation. Like any good rock and roll band, Dauber is rough around the edges, but bursting with vibrant, uninhibited energy.

Their debut album, Falling Down, doesn’t shy away from its rawness. It’s a celebration of imperfection. Recorded in collaboration with the ever-adventurous John Hoffman (Vacation, BEEF, The Mimes), the album’s production captures the grit and energy of a new band finding their sound. From the ear-splitting opening chords of the title track “Falling Down” to the lamenting last chorus of the final track “Memory Lane,” Dauber delivers a strong debut album full of exuberant hooks, crunchy guitars, pounding drums, and a healthy dose of chaos for all the rock and roll freaks of the world. Rock and roll, Dauber-style.
