Gold-certified hip-hop disruptor tana celebrates his 18th birthday in style with the release of his upbeat and aptly titled new single, “18” out now via Galactic Records/Republic Records.
Powering up the track, neon synths wrap around a kinetic beat fueled by glitchy claps and otherworldly loops. tana unloads a fast-paced and fiery flow over the production. The chorus explodes in a burst of concentrated energy. Coming full circle and showing appreciation, he concludes the song with an introspective admission.
It follows his fan favorite BANA EP, which has garnered millions of streams contributing to his total 2 billion global streams and counting.
tana set the stage for the tape with singles “Decatur” and “Jesus Piece.” Beyond garnering millions of streams, the records landed major plugs from HipHopDX, HITS Daily Double, and more. XXL touted the latter as one of “The 13 Best New Hip-Hop Songs This Week.”
Earlier this year, tana completed a successful run on the road, supporting Lil Tecca on the “HVN ON EARTH” Tour. Just prior, he capped off a busy 2023 with his EP, DALE.
