The Struts get “Pretty Vicious” at The Fillmore in Philadelphia With Opener Barns Courtney

The Struts kicked off the 1st weekend of August bringing the Pretty Vicious tour to Philly at The Fillmore Philadelphia. Returning back to the city, this UK band, along with support act Barns Courtney, delivered a night that required the room to have their dancing shoes on! Incomparable energy, endless crowd interaction, and too many smiles to count from start to end.

Kicking off the night Barns Courtney really set the tone of everyone just having a feel good night. From the moment they stepped onstage, to the banter with the crowd, and everything in between – they were an act that really fit the vibe of the show! It also seemed like a majority of the crowd were seeing them for the 1st time, so it was really great to see this band own the room and gain so many new fans!

The Struts built the anticipation in the room by walking out to an orchestral intro of their song Roll Up. From there on out there was not a single person standing still in the room. From playing some older hits like “Body Talks” and “Put Your Money on Me”, to some more recent hits like “Too Good at Raising Hell” and from their newest album of the same name “Pretty Vicious.” There were fans of all ages there to scream the lyrics back to the band – some experiencing them live for the 1st time, and some for their 5+ time. Closing out the night on the piano with “One Night Only,” along with their hit “Could Have Been Me”.

An absolutely stellar night full of sparkling outfits both onstage and in the crowd, lyrics coming from everyone in the room, and not one foot standing still on the ground. The Struts truly made a return to the city of Philadelphia full of nothing but smiles. A pleasure to have been there to experience this night – definitely not a band to miss when they come around!
